Pool Heating
The pool is heated with a state of the art environmentally friendly heat pump. A minimum of 1 week’s notice is required for pool heating. The heater needs around 3/4 days to sufficiently heat the water depending on the ambient air temperature. Pool heating can be arranged for a supplement cost of £295 or 350 euros/wk. Please note no pool heating is intended to produce hot bath temperature water and during the winter the air temperature at times can go quite low overnight and periodically, if the winter temperatures are uncharacteristically low – for safety reasons, the pool heater will go into frost settings until the ambient temperature has increased. As this is beyond our control, no refunds are given for pool heating if this occurs. The heater will increase winter water temperatures from around 13 degrees C to about 28 degrees C, so that the water is very warm and comfortable for swimming.
Pool Cover
The pool will not heat or retain the temperature when the heater has been switched on unless the pool is covered when not in use. The pool cover is on a convenient roller for rolling on and off the pool. It is therefore imperative that the pool cover is replaced whenever the pool is not in use when pool is being heated.
